– U.S auto giant General Motors’ Customer Care and Aftersales (GM CCA) has just
announced the assessment and evaluation of its supplier delivery quality for
2020. China-based Zhejiang Wanfeng Auto Wheel (002085) was awarded the 2020 GM
CCA Platinum Supplier Excellence Award in Brazil, which is the highest level
award of GM.
As an auto parts supplier
of GM, Wanfeng Auto has always been committed to providing customers with high-quality
products and services. Last year, in spite of the impact from COVID-19
epidemic, all of Wanfeng Auto’s departments and business units took measured
and scientific approaches to quickly resume work and production. It not only managed
to maintain 24/7 servicing with customers but guaranteed on-time product delivery.
Even the most distanced apart continent, GM’s plant in Brazil highly praised Wanfeng’s
delivery on projects and products amid the global pandemic.

requirements as a global supplier to GM, Wanfeng Auto’s subsidiaries are also often
subjected to extensive audit and evaluation from internationally well-known automobile
brands, and these help to lay solid foundation for deepening cooperation.
Customers such as Toyota
(7203.T) (NYSE:TM) and BMW (BMW.DE) regularly praised Wanfeng Auto for its high
degree of automation in its production line. Japan’s largest automobile
manufacturer Toyota has expressed their satisfaction with quality control and
strict auditing in each phase of the production process at Wanfeng Auto’
plants.
Another exemplary plant is
the Weihai subsidiary at Shandong province that welcomed customers from
Volkswagen (VOW.DE) to audit potential
suppliers and assess extensive 35 items on quality management, production and
customer service. Volkswagen affirmed the Weihai subsidiary’s capabilities,
seeking to embark long-term cooperation.
In the domestic market
Wanfeng Auto’s subsidiary in Chongqing also received similar accolade of praises
from China’s auto giant BYD (1211.HK) on annual audits, with BYD SQE (Supplier
Quality Engineers) appreciating the internal quality management systems put in
place and committed to deepen cooperation.
The company’s customers’ affirmations and continuous awards clearly depict Wanfeng Auto’s core principle of "Customer First" and constantly improving the quality of its products and services on a global scale.
