Wanfeng to supply U.S. CVG with lightweight auto parts

Apr 13, 2021 (China Knowledge) – Having recently passed the Shanghai CVG (U.S.)‘s assessment, Wuxi Xiongwei, a subsidiary of Zhejiang Wanfeng Auto Wheel (002085) and a leading stamping parts supplier in China, has inked a full cycle contract. 

Shanghai CVG (U.S.) is a subsidiary of Commercial Vehicle Group (NASDAQ: CVGI) who is a major supplier of electrical components, seating system and other parts for global commercial vehicle market. Shanghai CVG’s customers include well-known brands such as Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo, Komatsu, Kobelco, Dayun and Futian.

This contract could boost Wanfeng’s expansion into the commercial vehicles market. Commenting on the collaboration that took two years to materialize, Mr. Wu Xingzhong, general manager of Wuxi Xiongwei, claims that the company will strive to accelerate the development and production of high strength steel and lightweight stamping parts, contributing to Wanfeng’s “lightweight growth engine”.
