Wanfeng launched a series of production safety campaigns to upgrade its emphasis on ESG

Jul 14, 2021 (China Knowledge) - During the 20th National Work Safety Month called by China's State Council, Zhejiang Wanfeng Auto Wheel (002085) organized its subsidiaries to carry out a series of related activities. The company has since strengthened the safety awareness for all employees through online training, consultation and many other procedures pertaining to this exercise. These steps have also improved their professional knowledge of safe production. Its workshops simulated potential production accidents like aluminum water leakage, and emergency drills were conducted on factory floors successfully.

In addition, Wanfeng has also introduced early warning and monitoring system in its factories, and established a database of potential safety hazards, to expand the scope of monitoring.

As part of staff’s welfare and work safety, Wanfeng has always paid attention to the health issues of its employees, including the working environment and intensity. To this end, the company invited professional organizations to detect noise, harmful gases, dust and other potential work hazards in the production sites. Improvements were made to address issues reflected in such test reports.

To ensure comprehensive coverage in this aspect, Wanfeng regularly conducts internal audits on its safety and environmental protection management system, involving various departments of the company to ensure the compliance and effectiveness of its operations. It has established internal control system in accordance with the National Standards of Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, to provide the global market with high-quality aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy products and services.

According to the latest FTSE Russell's ESG rating in July, Wanfeng significantly improved its ranking among 526 rated A-shares since last year and placed top ten among its auto & parts peers. Wanfeng’s emphasis on ESG is reflected in all aspects of its operations. From the beginning of raw material procurement to product design and production, it strives for sustainable development in every link.
